Our Little Snowman

Winter is here! We woke up this morning to all this snow. Glen couldn't wait to take Tanner out to play in it. Tanner loved it, he couldn't walk very well in his snowsuit but he thought it was so funny when he would fall down in the snow. We went to our neighbors house to help them make a snowman.

Furry Friends Have The Christmas Spirit

Its Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

Glen did a wonderful job on the Christmas Lights. He wrapped every branch of every tree in our yard. The other day we got our first big snow storm and it looks so nice with all the lights. Its kind of hard to see them in these pics but come on over your all invited.

Mr. Figgs

I know what most of you are thinking, are they crazy? The answer is yes! Glen brought home Mr. Figgs one day and at first I wanted to kill him. That's all I needed one more thing to take care of between work, Tanner, and two very large dogs I was a busy woman. Glen promised that he would be no work and that he was a very good boy and already potty trained. That day Mr. Figgs became part of the Golden circus. Glen rescued him from the pound and now he lives in a cat paradise with two very large exceptions (the girls.) Tanner loves the kitty and Mr. Figgs lets him just pick him up, sit on him, and pull his tail. He never scratches or even runs from him. The girls don't even mind him anymore and they get along quite well. I love Mr. Figgs, Glen did a wonderful job choosing him to be part of our family he is a very sweet kitty.

Tigers Know How to Party!

Tiger Stadium is a large part of Glens family history. So as soon as we arrived on campus I wanted to see it. Skipper Heard ( Glens grandfather ) was the athletic director for LSU. He dedicated his life to LSU athletics and the community of Baton Rouge. Tiger Stadium was built directly because of him, and I had no idea what a huge part of this community revolves around this stadium. One drive through Baton Rouge on game day puts a new meaning to the word community. Family and friends come together on game day and everyone is cheering for the Tigers!
Look at all this food!
Glen was so curious to see what these guys were doing. As soon as he found out he was nowhere to be found, so yes I ate the raw oyster.

Tailgating at LSU is like nothing I have ever seen! Glen and I got to the campus four hours early just to soak it all up. Everyone was so nice and all they want to do is feed you, and put drinks in your hands.
Look at all that Jambalaya!

Yum Yum!

Geaux Tigers

The LSU game was so fun! We had a great seats and Tiger Stadium was packed. College football is such a big part of Baton Rouge, and so many people come out for the famous night games in tiger country.

Grandma and Grandpa

Our trip to Baton Rouge to see Grandma and Grandpa was filled with lots of memories. We laughed a lot, cried a little, and had a wonderful time. Tanner had so much fun meeting his Grandma Ruth and Papa. They are such wonderful people and Glen adores them. Although our trip got off to a bumpy start with Tanner getting sick on the airplane, it was so nice to arrive in beautiful Baton Rouge and spend some quality time with everyone. Grandma and Grandpa are truly the most kind and genuine people I have ever met and we are so lucky to have them in our lives. I'm so thankful for all the love and support they have given Glen over the years. They have had a huge part in making him the wonderful person he is. Although we are not able to see each other often the time we do share is a blessing. Grandma and Grandpas house on Seyburn Dr. is like a second home to Glen. Every summer he would stay with them for about three weeks. In the evenings, we were able to watch some home videos of those good times they all spent in this beautiful home.

Southern Hospitality

One of my favorite things about the south is the beautiful homes, and the sprawling green lots they sit on. So you can only imagine what I thought when we pulled up to one of the most beautiful homes in Baton Rouge. It belongs to Aunt Mary Jane and Uncle Paul and it was truly something out of a movie. It was decorated so beautiful and the yard and the gardens went on forever. They invited us to have an early Thanksgiving Dinner with the family and man can Aunt Mary Jane cook! It was so good to see everyone and I'm happy I got to meet the girls and their beautiful families.Glen and I in their beautiful backyard, look how green everything is! (A little different from Utah). Glen had so much fun with everyone. It has been years since he has seen Jane and Tara. I'm so happy I got to meet them. They were very sweet, and made me feel right at home.
I first met Uncle Paul at our wedding but, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him or Mary Jane that night. We saw Aunt Mary Jane at Jamie's graduation but Uncle Paul was unable to make it, so it was nice to see him again.
Aunt Mary Jane is so hilarious she is always telling Dean to fix his hair. Dean brought his new little dogie and here they are enjoying a turkey dinner.

Happy Halloween

Glen and I were so excited for Halloween this year. Tanner was a shark and he loved to wear his costume. Weeks prior to Halloween he would swim around the house saying "fish."

Halloween night we had my family over for a little get together. Tanner got his shark outfit on and we hit the neighborhood in search of candy. Tanner loved knocking on the doors, and we enjoyed visiting with all our neighbors.

Happy Halloween everyone we love you all.
