Light up the Night

My mom, Aunt Janie, Aimee, Easton, Tanner and I all went down to the Spanish Fork Light Parade. I had never been before and I was very impressed. Tanner absolutely loved it. He waved to all the people going by and was so happy to see Santa! I love Christmas time and this year Tanner is just the right age to be full of wonder.

What a week!!!!!

Last week was rough I'm not sure if it was one particular thing that made it not so enjoyable or many....
Was it my knee was killing me?
Was it finding out sister is moving to Dallas?
Was it the trial period on my computer programs are up?
Was it the tantrum Tanner threw over the little cart at Smiths Marketplace.
Was it unable to get labels made at three separate Kinkos?
Was it the old woman who approached me and told me to return my cart that still had my diaper bag and purse in it to the cart return? (I was clearly not finished with it just trying to calm my child down after the tantrum)
Could it have been the news?
Or maybe my trainer being a flake?

Not really sure, but now in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for my knee.
I'm thankful for my sister.
I think I'm thankful for my computer.
I'm thankful for Tanner, tantrums and all.
I'm thankful for the new Smiths Marketplace not to mention the food.
I'm thankful for Kinko's.
I can't say I'm thankful for the old lady who wants to tell me what to do mid tantrum, but I am thankful for carts and cart returns.
I'm thankful my husbands job in this bad economy.
I'm thankful for my fun friend who trains with me.

Wow I do feel better but I am still not tired I really need to figure this sleep thing out.

NOOOOOOO!!!

I got the news this week that my sweet sister and her family are moving to Dallas. I will admit I am very sad :( but I do understand. Travis got a great job so off they go. Its going to be hard not to have them so close we have been each others lifelines for the last few years. She helps me out so much with Tanner and we are able to do lots of fun things together. I know we will only be a phone call and I am sure my adjustment will not be as hard as hers. I wish you guys the best of luck and I will visit often.

First Big Snow

We woke up this morning to lots and lots of snow. Tanner instantly wanted to go out and play in it so when Kristen called and said she was going to start clearing her driveway I thought OK perfect. So I bundled Tanner up and out we went to shovel the driveway. About three min. into it Tanner had a melt down all he kept saying was mamas bed in between the sobs.

Resting in mamas bed.

Good Dog

Loved this picture we have the best animals in the Golden zoo.

Gardner Village

Last week my mom, ash and I took the kids to Gardner Village to see the witches. It was freezing cold but we still had a lot of fun. I had a guilty mom moment on our way in we saw the horse and wagon and I told Tanner we would go on it after we looked at all the witches. I know he wanted to go on it so bad but it was so cold, so I told him the horse had to go to sleep in his barn. On our way out to the car he spotted the horse (not in the barn and with a wagon full of freezing people). At that moment I realized the days of stories of nice warm barns and other pleasant reasons why we have to do things are at an end he is defiantly in the ballgame these days.

Halloween Extravaganza

Yes every holiday at my parents house is turning into an extravaganza. This was the first year for the Halloween extravaganza which included hot stew, pumpkin carving contest, and trick-o-treating for the little kids. The night started out with the pumpkin carving contest as you can see we take it very serious, but even my dads magic glasses couldn't win him the prize. Glen and I took 1st and 2nd and Eric took 3rd. We had a delicous dinner and then the kids got to go trick-0-treating and my mom gave them pumpkins filled with toys. It was a great night thanks mom and dad for being so festive.

Cornbellys

Our church got together at Cornbellys last week so Glens mom and I took Tanner. I had never been before, they had so many fun things to do and we all had a great time.

Cuzzi Time!!!

Well yes the hot tub has now landed in the backyard, and not only does Glen love it so does Tanner. Every night when Glen gets home from work Tanner runs to him yelling "cuzzi daddy cuzzi". They each put on their Hugh Hefs (robe and slippers) and head off down to the hot tub.

My Funny Little Boy

In the last month or so Tanner has started talking so much more. The more he talks the more I find myself laughing out loud at the funny things he says and does. Some of his favorite lines are...
"Oh my goodness"
"Oh bees" He says this when something is broken or if he spills or drops something.
"Oh man" He learned this from grandpa Couvillon.
"GO TIGERS" That's LSU tigers, and he learned this from grandpa Couvillon also.

He is so much like his daddy its unbelievable. Glen and I are amazed at his little personality, and man does he have a personality hes our little clown.

The other day I let the girls (our dogs) out to potty in their dog run. Tanner loves to let them out and then tell them "go on girls go tee tee". Well I was surprised when he followed the dogs took off diaper and went tee tee in the dog run with the girls.

Yesterday he came running in my room with his little basketball and he was saying "mom hangnail" I thought it was just another moment we had to get out the clippers and go over each nail very carefully and make sure everything was just so. I was surprised when he held up his ball and i saw a small I mean small piece of plastic sticking up around one of the seams. As I tried not to laugh at how serious the situation was, I followed him as he made a mad dash to the drawer and pulled out finger clippers a file and went to work. This major project kept my very active two year old busy for the next half hour and man did i get a lot done. Who would have thought a basketball hangnail does the trick. :)

Baton Rouge to Lehi

Glens grandparents and mom have bought a new house about four blocks from ours. After battling the hurricanes in Baton Rouge, they finally arrived this week. We are so happy to have more family close and look forward to spending lots of time with them. Needless to say the furniture has not made it yet so we are a cozy family at our house. Kristen counted and informed me that we have 9 more legs at our house (Glens grandparents, Glens mom, and their dog that only has 3 legs)! It has been a pleasure having them stay with us and we are so happy they are going to be our neighbors.

Fall Project

Glen has been eyeing hot tubs for months, so when we found a great deal on one we jumped. I grew up with a hot tub and my dad would sit in it every night with his cowboy hat on and look at the stars. Dad is always trying to come up new ways to help Glen relax so he told him after he runs about 10 miles (haha) to sit in a hot tub. So anything my dad the "coyote" as Glen calls him suggests Glen usually gives it a try (he thinks my dad is a wizard). Now are backyard is all torn up and as you can see the PROJECT is underway. If it could only be as simple as buying a hot tub and putting it in the backyard.

UPDATE

Sorry I messed up our blog bad this week and I finally had the time to figure out what i did so please read below and catch up on our crazy life.

On Aug 26 Glen and I celebrated our 3 yr. anniversary. Life is good and we have lots of fun together. Here are some pics of us over the years.

Big Sale

This week Glen got the biggest sale in the history of the Utah market. He works very hard and I am very proud of him. This job has been such a blessing to both Glen and our family. Hard work and determination really does payoff. Thank you so much to Vance, Dedge and everyone else that has given him this opportunity and really pushed him. His talent is hard to find and so is his work ethic. Love ya tones man !!!

Weekend at the Goldens

We take full advantage of our weekends here at the Golden house. Glen works so hard during the week that Saturday and Sunday are family time. Friday night I asked Glen to stop and pick up some dog food, cat food, fish food (pick one) and well he stoped at Walmart and this is what walked in the door....

Yes I know it is a scary site the hat, the toy gun, the cut of shirt. Well needless to say the rest of the weekend looked like this......

His first kill was Mr Figgs. Tanner was his second kill.
By Sunday night this is where Mr. Figgs and Tanner ended up under the table taking cover from foam bullets and ball grenades. They had so much fun running around and screaming. I know we look crazy and I guess we are, its always a circus at the Golden house.
