BIRDS OF A FEATHER STICK TOGETHER
Chelsie and I took the boys to Tracy Aviary yesterday. The boys had so much fun and they play together so well. Neither one of them liked the bird show, they just wanted to run around and chase the peacocks. After we saw all the birds we walked over to the fountains at Liberty Park and let them get some energy out. It was a great play day for both me and Tanner. We love to see Chels and Xander and we look forward to the next adventure.

No more sippy
One week under our belt with no sippy at bedtime. I thought it was going to be a struggle but it really has gone pretty well. So our first goal of Tanners second year down, two more to go (potty training, big boy bed).

Thankful Thursday
I got this idea from Trishs blog each week she makes a list of the things that made her smile. So each Thursday I'm going to list 5 things that I am thankful for. It really helps you take a min. and realize how lucky we really are.
1. Good doctors
2. Garbage day (lots of diapers around here)
3. Air conditioner
4. Tanner not escaping from the daycare at the gym. (thank you Baggley girls)
5. Quiet time in my Yoga class

Our 8 second ride
Tuesday night we all slipped into our cowboy boots and hats and headed up to the Spanish Fork Rodeo. After choking down a hamburger and corn on the cob we made our way down to the rodeo grounds, well about a mile from the rodeo grounds where we finaly found a parking spot. Once in Tanner was having a great time he loved all the excitement and animals. About 20 minuets Ash and Trav were out with a screaming Julia, and Tanner lasted another 20 min and then he was done. Our dad is so sweet to treat us all to the night, and you have to realize you have to do stuff like that even if it is not the easiest thing it makes great family memories. Its was good to see my grandpa and although we didn't make it to the buzzer the other 7 seconds at the Fiesta Days Rodeo was a great time.

Thats Just Great Part 2
I ordered all of Tanners decorations and party games online for the big birthday that was going to take place on Sat. So Wednesday the UPS man delivers a large box that to my understanding was filled with: balloons, games, gift boxes for the guests, plates, cups ect. (of course i don't open the box). Friday night about 12:30 am I can't sleep so I decide to get up and put together gift bags for the party and watch a little T.V. I pull the box into the middle of the room and open. Yes that's just great they shipped me a metal Christmas tree. What in the hell am i going to do!!! I have nothing for the party and its count down time. Now I really can't sleep so i look for a 1 800 # to call and vent and all I got was a recording giving me the hours of operation. I convert central time to our time and realize i can call at 4 am and tell these heartless humans that they have ruined my 2 yr. old sons party. I don't sleep the rest of the night and by 4 am I put in my call and to keep it PG we will just leave out what was said (don't mess with a mother bear and her cub on birthday party day without a streamer in sight.) By 6:00am I was on the phone to mom asking if she could round anything up the festive woman she is, and by 7 am i was in my jeep driving to Starbucks for the extra shot venti with a list of party stores and phone numbers in hand.

Tanner Is Two!!!!!
Our little cub turned two yesterday. Our morning began like any other morning at the Goldens house a little french toast a sippy cup full of milk and a little sprout TV. Any mother of little ones knows about the sprout channel. During the sunny side up show the mailman delivers birthday cards that parents send in to wish their little ones a happy birthday. I couldn't resist about a month ago I sent one in for Tanner and sure enough while we were all cuddled up in our bed the mailman delivered his card. Tanner was excited to see his pic on T.V. he ran around in circles while the cheesy man sang Happy Birthday. Once we were up and going we made a trip to the Red Balloon toy store. Tanner could pick out one toy for his birthday and he chose a $2.00 plastic ladybug I love being reminded of the simple joy of a child. Next we were off the the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. That evening Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Ash, Uncle Trav and Baby Julia came over for cake and ice cream. Tanner was so excited about his cake he was talking about it all day (he is a mini Glen). He put on the famous birthday hat and we lit the candles and sang. Next it was time to open the gifts and man he got some good stuff. Ash, Trav and Julia gave him a Buzz and a Nemo Ball. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a woody and pod chair and yes grandma sliped in a new outfit and a potty training kit that consisted of sickers, big boy pants and a jar of M&Ms. Thank you all so much Glen and I cannot believe he is the big two, and yes Glen gave Tanner a pep talk about how some people call it the terrible twos but here at the Golden house we are going for TERRIFIC TWOS

Visit From Nina and Papa
Glens mom and dad came out to Utah for Tanners birthday last week. We had so much fun I always love seeing Glen with his dad they are so much alike and very close. Judy and I had so much fun we are training for a 1/2 marathon in Mobil AL and I would have to say that I better get my butt in gear if I want to keep up with her. We went for several runs while she was here but all of them were followed by a Starbucks Coffee. Tanner loved Nina and Papa and thank you for all the nice gifts you gave him. We are very excited for our trip in January and look forward to spending more time with you. Sorry no pics we had a camera issue.
